Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

At Creative Minds Preschool of Youngsville, we encourage our students to be creative and innovative with the projects that they take on. We provide quality childcare in Louisiana that go beyond the normal expectation of families.
There’s a whole bunch of wonderful Mother’s day crafts for kids that they can make (and mothers will love) – from super simple projects for the littlest ones to more demanding crafts for older kids!
Here are a couple of ideas:

  • Make her a card.

There is nothing like a heartfelt message on a hand-made card to show your mother how much you care for her. All you need is a couple sheets of construction paper, glitter, and colorful pens!

  • Make her paper flowers.

Origami is an artform practiced in Japan is an effective way of practicing both patience and creativity. A bouquet of carefully crafted blooms might just be what brings a tear to every mommy’s eyes.

  • Write her a poem.

Practice your student’s language skills and verbal expression by having them write a poem to their moms about all the things they are thankful to her for.

  • Write her a book!

For kids who have a knack for storytelling, writing a book may be the perfect project for them! Have them write about the top 10 favorite things they love about their moms.

  • Paint her a picture.

Not everything has to be expressed in words. Have your students paint or draw a picture of their moms on paper.

Daycare is more than just a place where you can leave your child for the afternoon. It’s a place of learning and development.
