Reasons to Celebrate the 100th Day of School

Reasons to Celebrate the 100th Day of School

Celebrating the 100th day of school has become a very popular celebration in the last 10 years. Even though the date of celebration varies from school to school, most institutions like Creative Minds Preschool of Youngsville, a Preschool in Youngsville, Louisiana, celebrate the day around mid-February through doing fun activities, learning new concepts, or sharing creativity.

All the while, were you asking what is the big deal about the 100th day of school and why do we celebrate this day with such a huge fashion? Here, we cite some reasons why this day is worth celebrating:

  • It’s a day to test the student’s knowledge.
100 days is a long journey for students. Certainly, they have learned a lot of things in this span of time. This is the best day to test their knowledge in different subjects such as math, English language, arts, writing, or science. In that way, teachers can assess the student’s learning and can further initiate ways for improvement in class discussion and teaching strategies.
  • It’s an opportunity to celebrate major milestones in student’s academic achievements.
For young children, as well as for the teachers, reaching 100 full school days is a remarkable achievement. It’s an opportunity to talk about experiences during school days and the things we are looking forward to. As a center for Childcare in Louisiana, it is also the best time for us to re-visit our goals and evaluate what needs to be improved in the class.
  • It gives a lot of fun for students.
During the 100th day of school, children play games, eat snacks, create artworks, exhibit the creativity they learned from the daycare, and much more. It’s a perfect day to combine fun with learning, whether by solving patterns, counting numbers, or reading fun books. It will surely give a lot of fun for children.
